On June 6, the 2nd Academic Symposium of International Students of Shanxi University of Finance and Economics was successfully held in our university. The conference was held by the Faculty of International Education and co-organized by the Faculty of International Trade. There are 65 registered participants of the seminar, including scholars and overseas students from Germany, the United States, Tajikistan, Pakistan and other countries and regions, as well as undergraduates, postgraduates and teachers from relevant schools.

With “Appraising the Historical and Spatial Dimension of China’s Belt and Road Initiative” as theme, we explored how the economics-majored universities develop to adapt to the new situation, grasp the new opportunities and undertake the new mission to fulfill the requirements of the “Belt and Road Initiative” in the new situation. We also tried to look for new connections and strategic layout plans and action strategies to allow the Shanxi Province to take part in the construction of “Belt and Road Initiative”. The purpose of the conference was to provide an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural environment and promote a thought-provoking dialogue among the participants.
