On May 9th, the signing ceremony of the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement between our university and RUC (Renmin University of China) was held in RUC.

Liu Wei, President of RUC, and Liu Weiqi, President of our university signed the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of their own university. According to the agreement, our university and RUC will closely carry out in-depth cooperation around faculty and discipline construction, education, teaching and personal training, scientific research and social services, school-running resourcing and school-running experience, and become strategic partners to achieve complementary advantages and better fulfill the important mission of higher education.

The comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement is aimed to start a comprehensive strategic cooperative relationship between our university and the third highest ranked university after the Central University of Finance and Economics and the University of Foreign Trade and Economics. It is another major achievement of the "20 Articles of Exchange and Cooperation" and a major breakthrough in opening the living university.

Jin Nuo, Secretary of the Party Committee of RUC, hopes to explore a new mode of inter-school cooperation starting with the conclusion of this contract and believes that this cooperation can bring the discipline development to a new level. At the same time, he hopes to further build think tanks to serve local economic and social reform and development, and together draw a new blueprint for inter-school cooperation. His goal is to make greater contributions to the prosperity and development of higher education.

Wu Junqing, secretary and director of the Party Leadership Group of Shanxi Education Department, hopes that Shanxi University of Finance and Economics and RUC will further deepen their cooperation in subject development, cadre exchange, personnel training and think tank construction in order to establish smooth and efficient communication mechanism and effective cooperation platform, and constantly launch results of cooperation to help to write a new chapter of provincial cooperation and inter-school cooperation.

Chang Naijun, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, said that the school would make every effort to promote the effectiveness of the agreement and to cooperate more closely with the RUC. He hopes that the two sides will carry out extensive exchanges in personnel training, discipline building, team building and platform building in the future, promote cooperation and achieve beneficial results, so as to re-establish a new era for the transformation and development of economy in Shanxi.
