On February 22nd, the China Association of Higher Education officially released the results of the evaluation of innovative talents training and discipline competitions in Chinese universities from 2014 to 2018. Our university ranked 217th in the list of national colleges and universities in 2014-2018，while being placed 13th in the national ranking of universities in the National Humanities and Social Sciences and 11th among the universities of Finance and Economics.

In recent years, our school has focused firmly on the priority task of talent cultivation, relying on the way of discipline competition,continuously deepening the reform of practical teaching and innovation, insisting on promoting the construction,reform,education and innovation by the competition,strengthening the top-level design of discipline competition work, incorporating the subject competition into the talent training program, integrating with professional education, and bringing it into the entire process of talent cultivation.This year, the school will further refine the "measures on the Management of discipline Competition in Shanxi University of Finance and Economics", guide and encourage it from the aspects of organization, financial aid, reward, achievement, assessment, and so on, so as to provide a solid guarantee for promoting the development of discipline competitions.
