On morning of the 1st March, Luo Xisheng, Vice-President of University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and his delegation totalling five members paid a visit to our university for cooperation and communication.

Sun Shixin, member of party leadership group and Deputy Director of Department of Education of Shanxi Province, stressed that Department of Education of Shanxi Province is focusing on greater platform and projects in order that universities in Shanxi could embark on deepened cooperation and communication with C9 and high-level universities. Shanxi University of Finance and Economics (SXUFE) have had sound student sources, and will have a sound platform and base on cooperating with USTC; the parties will broaden and deepen the cooperation based on the school characteristics and future development of SXUFE,shall adopt “staff-visiting” strategy, and reinforce the deepened cooperation, as to be synchronized with the development of higher education in China.

Thepresident,Mr. Liu Weiqi, stressed that relevant leaders of USTC have visited our university twice, and this demonstrated USTC have paid great concern and support tothedevelopment of our university.He hope we shall seize the opportunity of strategic cooperation between Shanxi Province and C9 universities, further plan cooperation scope, focus on the goal-orientation and demand-orientation, and get support in data science and big data technology specialty construction, application platform construction, computer science and technology, management science and engineering etc. ,so that our university could make great contribution to the economic and social development in the province, and even in China.

Luo Xisheng expressedhisappreciation for the hospitality of our university, and he pointed out USTC has been attaching great importance to inter-university cooperation. Current cooperation with SXUFE has clear aim and following work shall expand ideas and go to the details. He expected further deepened cooperation between the parties and realize the win-win.

Vice-President, Lu Qingshan, presented the achievements of ‘Twenty points of communicating and cooporating'. He stressed that with a 'driving in nails' spirit, our university will make steady progress in communicating and cooperating, project after project, subject after subject, university after university. we strive for periodical results by the time of the fifth curriculum accessment and application for first-grade subject doctoral program.

After the meeting, Vice-president Luo and his delegation visited the Museum of Jin merchants in our university, accompanied by President Liu Weiqi.
