With the rapid development of the online education in recent years, teachers in the colleges and universities have been applying the internet-based tools and the advanced teaching philosophy to facilitate the teaching reform in schooling. According to the “Notice of the Appraisal Result in 'Smart Teaching Pilot Program' ” issued by the Research Center for Online Education of Ministry of Education, the “Shanxi University of Finance and Economics Rain-classroom Based Smart Teaching Solution”, declared by the Office of Academic Affairs of SUFE and presided over by Weiming Xi, has been approved as the “Smart Teaching Pilot Program” of the Research Center for Online Education of Ministry of Education, creating a new pathway for free-online-course construction in our university.

According to the “Notice on Approving to Establish the Online Education Research Center of Ministry of Education” (Jiao Gao Si Han [2013] No. 131), issued by the Department of Higher Education of Ministry of Education on Dec. 17^th, 2013, the Online Education Research Center of Ministry of Education was established on Apr. 29^th. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and supported by the existing foundation and discipline advantages in Tsinghua University as well as the internal and external research power of the United Nations, the massive researches are initiated in the areas of online education theories, teaching models and teaching methods along with the share application, motivating the reform of education and teaching as well as the institutional innovation in the free-online-course construction, shared concepts of education concept, education model, education method and learning method.
